EFCA Equip and TouchGlobal

Dave and Oksana are serving with ReachGlobal in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Dave works with two ministry departments: EFCA EQUIP and TouchGlobal.

Dave’s responsibilities with EFCA EQUIP are to help facilitate missionary training and development by coordinating online training courses and live events.  This past week there were close to 30 missionaries, church planters, and missions leaders in Minneapolis for the annual cross-cultural church planting school and coaching clinic.  Dave helped coordinate the sessions at the national office, set up all the pre-event training resources (online), and facilitated several church planting discussion groups during the week. Several missions agencies sent their representatives to the event for the first time ever.  People who attended commented that the event was a great help and encouragement to them in their ministry. 

Dave is working with TouchGlobal (Compassion Ministries of the EFCA) in the area of partnerships.  A  joint compassion and church-planting project with a national church in Guatemala is in the planning stages, with several meetings coming up in May. Dave will be learning more about developing partnerships and helping to establish a consortium with the purpose of  empowering the Guatemalan church to reach their community with the Gospel.
