The Navigators

Mark and Patty both came to Christ in their late teen years. They met at the University of South Florida, where they also became part of the Navigator ministry. They were drawn to the emphasis on personal help and discipleship, which set the direction for their work in the lives of others. After graduation, Mark taught school, while they continued to work as volunteers with the local Navigator ministry. They were interested in missions and in 1981 were presented with an opportunity to teach at a Bible School in Kenya, East Africa. An important role in their two years there was to establish discipleship among the students. After that, they continued in Kenya and Tanzania for another 15 years with The Navigators. When they returned to the USA they served in Florida and the southeast US. Missions was still on their hearts, and in 2014 they moved to Kingston, Jamaica to establish a Navigator ministry, where they have been focusing on ministering to students and young professionals.

In 2021 they returned to the US, moving to the Navigators Headquarters in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Still with an emphasis on missions, they work with training those who are interested in ministering overseas.
